This exhibition presented a selection of Diana Cumming’s early work beginning in 1953 as well as some of her more recent paintings. For Cumming, pale figures immersed in water provide a constant motif. Her more recent works included a dreamlike series of paintings in which musicians played a significant role.  

Works displayed in the exhibition included The Creation (1953), Swimming Race (1962-3), The Double Bass Player (1986) and The Violinist (1986-7).
