The exhibition featured over fifty of Karen Kilimnik's paintings and drawings from the past decade, as well as more recent installations within site-specific environments inspired by the artist's fascination with historical allegories. While her paintings often recall the work of painters from the sixteenth through to the nineteenth centures, Kilimnik’s mise-en-scene approach to the exhibition was inspired by specific rooms in stately homes, horse riding, Tudor architecture and the occult.
