The Magazine Sessions 2016: Emily Sundblad, Juliana Huxtable, Ken Okiishi and Musarc

Serpentine North Gallery 18 Apr 2016 Free

Emily Sundblad’s Dichterliebe/Divine Bitches Part Two is an erotic collage operetta featuring Juliana Huxtable. It is the second instalment of the collaborative performance work originally conceived for The Kitchen, New York, in April 2015. Texts written by Sundblad and Huxtable (and some taken from online porn sites) are punctuated by lieder from Robert Schumann’s song cycle Dichterliebe and hit songs rearranged as classical choral compositions by Pete Drungle. Featuring artists Huxtable and Ken Okiishi, as well as vocal performances by Musarc. Programmed in collaboration with Fiorucci Art Trust. Flowers by The Tuk Tuk Flowerstudio, Mayfair.

Tickets to this Session included late-night viewing of the exhibition DAS INSTITUT at the Serpentine North Gallery from 7:30pm.
