Appointed Director of The Architecture Foundation in 2007, Sarah Ichioka is also Co-Director of the London Festival of Architecture. She serves on the curatorial committee of the Design Museum, has chaired the advisory panel for the 2010 British Pavilion at Venice and has participated in many other juries, including the European Prize for Urban Public Space and the UK Young Architect of the Year award. Earlier this year she was awarded an honorary fellowship from RIBA, the Royal Institute of British Architects.
The visionary Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto designed the Serpentine Gallery Pavilion 2013.
