Artist Ian Cheng is joined by writer Nora Khan and Serpentine Galleries CTO Ben Vickers to discuss his exhibition at the Serpentine, the history of human consciousness, emergent forms of intelligence and non-human entities.
Ian Cheng (b. 1984, USA) explores the nature of mutation and the capacity of humans to relate to change.
Nora Khan is a writer and acting editor at Rhizome. Her criticism focuses on experimental art, digital visual culture and the philosophy of technology.
Ben Vickers is a curator, writer, explorer, technologist and luddite. He is CTO at Serpentine Galleries and an initiator of the open-source monastic order unMonastery.
