Designer Bahbak Hashemi-Nezhad led a workshop to design and programme a community-run bookshelf for Church Street Library.
The proposed Local Projects Shelf featured the many projects and publications about the Church Street and Edgware Road area and now exists as a growing archive of the neighbourhood.
Workshop participants were invited to bring publications and documents made in/or about the neighbourhood, to donate to the shelf and to discuss.
The Open Workshop was the first in a series working towards the launch of the Local Projects Shelf in April 2016, where Studies on a Road, a series of pamphlets documenting projects commissioned through the Serpentine Galleries’ Edgware Road Project also launched.
