Serpentine South Gallery 11 Jun 2015 Free

Writer Natasha Soobramanien led a workshop focusing on speaking and listening and creative writing activities designed to stimulate literacy projects back in the classroom.

During the workshop, teachers engaged in a series of practical activities inspired by the figures – construction workers, a cleaner and a house painter – from the Serpentine’s Duane Hanson exhibition.

The workshop was designed to support English teaching and was suitable for Key Stage 1–4 teachers and teaching assistants.

‘I enjoyed discovering great practical ideas which I could take back to the classroom!’

‘This could really spark some amazing stories working in creative writing.’
