How do I find out about ticket releases?

Tickets will be released in two week blocks – sign up to our Serpentine newsletter or follow us on social media to be the first to hear about Serpentine free exhibition tickets, events, films, interviews and podcasts.

What if I want to visit but haven’t booked a ticket?

You may be able to visit the gallery without booking in advance during quieter times mid-week. Staff will be able to advise you on arrival and you may need to wait before entry.

To avoid disappointment, you must book in advance for busier times such as weekends, school holidays and bank holidays.

When can I visit and for how long?

The gallery is open 10am-4pm, Tuesday to Thursday. We are closed from 23 December 2020 to 4 January 2021.

The last ticketed entry into the gallery is at 3pm. The gallery closes at 4pm. Visit duration is limited to 1 hour.

Your safety is our priority; we’re continuing to limit numbers so that you can maintain social distancing inside the gallery.

What if I can’t make it?

If you can’t make your visit for any reason, please cancel so another visitor can see the exhibition.

What if I’m late?

We are unable to accommodate visitors who arrive more than 15 minutes late.

How many tickets can I book?

A maximum of four tickets and one time slot is available per booker. We will cancel individual orders that exceed group allocation or number of time slots.

Wet weather

Please note that the capacity restrictions mean that you will be waiting outside before the time of entry, and we are unable to provide shelter from the weather! If you bring an umbrella, you will not be able to take it through the exhibition, but there will be a space for you to leave them, and collect when you exit. We do not operate a cloakroom at the Serpentine.

Support the Serpentine

As a charity, we need your help to continue our work more than ever. Please donate through our website or when you visit to help keep our programmes free and open to all.
