A summer-long programme celebrating play and creativity.
Serpentine and the LEGO Group present Play Pavilion, a new vibrant, interactive play commission situated alongside Serpentine South. Designed by Sir Peter Cook, this public art project showcases the power of play through features such as a communal LEGO® installation, brick-building challenges, talks, tournaments, exclusive giveaways, and a curated range of guests.
Play Modes:
Free Play – no need to book, simply turn up and start building!
Summer Programme – The LEGO Group presents a series of creative programmes, spanning art and design, music and sport, all rooted in the brand’s foundational belief that play unlocks limitless human potential. From music production to LEGO® brick building workshops, each programme champions creative play, self expression and learning.
During workshops and events, if the Play Pavilion is at capacity walk-up visitors cannot be admitted.
The Play Pavilion is very popular. Please arrive for your booked event at least 10 minutes before your scheduled start time. Unfortunately, we’re unable to hold spaces for latecomers—any unclaimed spots may be offered to walk-up visitors.
