This exhibition included new works together with highlights from Richard Prince’s 30–year career in painting, photography and sculpture. It was a uniquely personal exhibition of the artist’s work, selected to create an environment reflecting the gallery’s scale and location. Prince is a voracious collector of art, furniture, memorabilia and books, which he houses in a variety of buildings alongside his own artworks. The exhibition represented a direct dialogue with these spaces, mirroring the installation of his work in his studios and home. Prince also selected a programme of classic films ranging from drama to cult shorts for open-air 50-foot screening by the Serpentine Lake and also in the Frank Gehry-designed Pavilion.
