Initiatives are research-led programmes that address urgent questions, develop new ideas and seed change across three focus areas: technology, ecology and community. Through a range of collaborative and explorative processes with artists, interdisciplinary groups, communities, other species, and technologies, Serpentine’s Initiatives aim to intervene in existing structures; cultivate new forms of knowledge; build communities of care; and imagine new ways of being in the world.
