Gabriel Massan & Collaborators: Third World: The Bottom Dimension

Before you arrive:

  • If you would like to mint a token of your game play during your visit, we advise you to open a Kukai wallet in advance here.

The exhibition experience:

  • There are 7 game stations at the exhibition which operate in 45 or 90 minute slots.
  • If all game stations are busy you are invited to enjoy the rest of the exhibition including a series of artworks by Gabriel Massan, Novíssimo Edgar, LYZZA, Jota Mombaça, Ventura Profana and Castiel Vitorina Brasileiro.
  • There is no age limit but we would advise visitors to refer to the artwork details before making their own decision regarding the suitability according to their individual circumstances. Visitors are advised that the game contains representations of guns and asks users to decide whether to participate in violence
  • Game contains flashing images that may not be safe for people with photosensitive epilepsy.

Playing the game on-site:

  • Serpentine staff will provide a 6 digit code – your ‘Game Code’ – to enter when you start.
  • The game is single player, this means that you play on your own.
  • Third World: The Bottom Dimension is a live project and will be updated across the duration of the exhibition. We appreciate feedback to develop the experience of game-play for others, so if you notice any bugs or glitches during game-play please report them to a member of staff.

Minting a token at the exhibition:

  • When you play you will use the in-game camera function (known as ‘Capture Power’) to take pictures or record short videos of gameplay.
  • You will be able to mint one of these pictures or short videos as a token, other known as an Non Fungible Token or NFT, on the energy-efficient Tezos blockchain.
  • Once you finish playing you are invited to visit the minting stations located at the end of the exhibition where you will need to enter your ‘Game Code’ to select and mint your web3 token powered by Tezos.

Playing the game at home:

  • If you want to continue playing at home, you can download Third World: The Bottom Dimension for PC on Steam for free.
