INFINITE ECOLOGIES MARATHON: THE PRELUDE 2023
Marina Abramović, Anohni*, James Bridle, Mariana Mazzucato, Tomás Saraceno, Adrian Villar Rojas, Yinka Shonibare and other key cultural, scientific figures gather for day long prelude to Serpentine’s acclaimed Marathon series, returning for summer 2024

Serpentine is delighted to announce Infinite Ecologies Marathon: The Prelude, an all-day event that will gather key cultural figures to address pressing questions on environmental issues and set the agenda for the return of the acclaimed Serpentine Marathon programme in 2024. The Prelude will take place on Saturday 14 October from 12pm to 8.30pm in the 22nd Serpentine Pavilion by Lina Ghotmeh, one of this year’s participants.

On the 25th of January 2020, 32 world records, recognised by FAI were set by Aerocene with Leticia Noemi Marques, flying with the message “Water and Life are Worth More than Lithium” written with the communities of Salinas Grandes and Laguna de Guayatayoc, Jujuy, Argentina. This marks the most sustainable flight in human history. Fly with Aerocene Pacha, a project by Tomás Saraceno for an Aerocene era, was produced by the Aerocene Foundation and Studio Tomás Saraceno.
