Free School Visits

Experience art at Serpentine with free self-guided educational visits for schools, universities and colleges.

Explore Serpentine at your own pace, guided by your questions and experiences. Engage with artworks to strengthen your connection with yourself, each other and the wider world.

Please feel free to make noise and move around in the galleries. We encourage students to take up space! You’re welcome to bring sketchbooks and pencils to capture what you can see, hear and feel. Our Visitor Experience Team will be on hand to welcome you and your students and answer any questions your group may have.

Our exhibitions are free and change throughout the year. The annual Pavilion commission is available to experience June – October. The exhibitions and public art programme are year-round. Find out more about our current and upcoming programme to tailor your visit.

We recommend teachers make a preliminary visit to Serpentine to check that the content of the exhibition is appropriate for your group and to create your own risk assessment.

We ask that all group bookings are made in advance. Please fill out an Educational Visit Booking Form, which can be found here.
