Artist Anna Lucas created a kit of parts for families to use to explore the 2016 Pavilion, Summer Houses and surrounding landscape.
Loose Parts Kit is inspired by architect Simon Nicholson’s Theory of Loose Parts. Nicholson argues that children have been cheated out of creativity by static adult-designed environments. He states that all children are creative and are empowered when given access to materials that can be picked up, rearranged, combined and transformed.
Watch our specially commissioned silent film by Anna Lucas which shows the kit of parts in action.
