Barbara Bloom: The Reign of Narcissism

Serpentine South Gallery 1 Aug — 9 Sep 1990 Free

For American artist Barbara Bloom’s first show in Britain, her most recent piece, The Reign of Narcissism, was installed at the Serpentine Gallery.

The installation was on the theme of vanity. With a Wedgewood-like interior, the artist’s own image was visible in silhouettes, cameos, photographs, portrait busts and even on a box of chocolates.
