Serpentine Gallery 27 Jan — 28 Feb 1993 Free

For the third year running, the Serpentine Gallery hosted the Barclays Young Artist Award.

The exhibition not only gave emerging artists an opportunity to exhibit, but the public the opportunity to see the kinds of work being produced by the emerging generations.

Throughout the summer of 1992, the judging panel visited all the MA degree-shows offered by London colleges. The resulting show had an increase in women represented, including the winning entry 8.30 by twins Jane and Louise Wilson.

Judged by Mel Gooding, Tim Head, Sarah Kent and Andrea Schlieker.
