John Murphy: Beyond the fixing of appearances

For this solo exhibition, British artist John Murphy (b.1945) displayed his starscapes.

The paintings displayed in this exhibition included The pure night of possibilities and The infinite anguish of form. Each painting was identical in size and colour and was identically framed. The canvases were deep blue with a myriad of tiny white stars depicting different areas of the star-chart.
