Join us for a family day in the 2024 Serpentine Pavilion designed by Minsuk Cho, Mass Studies.
Enjoy free hands-on activities and creative workshops throughout the day. All families are invited to bring a picnic to enjoy on the Serpentine Lawn.

This event is programmed in collaboration with the Korean Cultural Centre.
Programme
Playful Pavilion Building
11am-3pm
Collaborate to turn everyday objects and materials into amazing architectural designs. Artist facilitators from Originary Arts will be on hand to help inspire all ages to work together to make playful structures that will evolve and develop throughout the event. Let’s see what the architects, artists and space-makers of tomorrow dream up today!
K-Pop Dance Class
12pm, 1pm & 2pm
Get ready to dance and learn the latest choreography of K-pop groups like BTS, Stray Kids, and AESPA. A fun-filled K-pop dance workshop led by Coco (Yeonsoo Do) from K-Pop Planet UK. This workshop is suitable for all, including complete beginners.
Pavilion Star Paper Folding
11am-3pm
Be inspired by the shape of this year’s Pavilion to create beautiful folded designs with Vanessa Hitchmough.
Hangeul Calligraphy
11am-3pm
Learn how to hold a brush to write Korean basic alphabet and practice stroke orders in Korean Calligraphy.
Play Tuho & Jegichagi
11am-3pm
Play traditional Korean outdoor games on the lawn.
Experimental Drawing Workshop
11am-3pm
Try different line drawing techniques to express sight, hearing and emotion with Fresh Art Club. This session will take inspiration from the Pavilion and surrounding park.
Helpful information
- Everyone is welcome, activities are designed for ages 5-12.
- The Family Day is free and drop-in any time from 11am-3pm. No booking is required.
- Places for each activity are limited and are available on a first come, first served basis.
- Buggies are welcome in the galleries and Pavilion but please keep them with you. Any items are left at the owners risk.
- Baby changing facilities are available at Serpentine South and North.
- Breastfeeding is welcome at Serpentine, please ask a member of staff if you need a stool to sit on.
- You can bring a picnic to have on the lawn or The Magazine restaurant at Serpentine North
