Serpentine South Gallery 9 November 1990 — 6 January 1991 Free

The first collaboration between the ICA and The Serpentine Gallery, this exhibition focused on younger artists still relatively unknown in Britain but acclaimed in their homeland.

The exhibition sought to redress the balance in Britain between the considerable reputation and exposure of British sculpture in Britain and abroad compared to the relatively limited exposure afforded to developments in mainland Europe.

The seven artists featured were chosen from both Eastern and Western Europe and hailed from Poland, France, Germany, Spain and Austria. The artists’ works were shown simultaneously in both venues.
