This major mid-career retrospective of German artist Rebecca Horn (b.1944) explored some of the many facets of her work.

A filmmaker and installation artist, Horn is a sculptor known for devising surreal extensions to the human body and elaborate mechanised sculptures. She is also a performance artist and a poet.

This was a touring exhibition that started at the Centre d’Art Contemporain in Geneva in 1983 and ended at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, in 1984. It was accompanied by a publication featuring text by Toni Stooss, published by the Kunsthaus Zurich.
