Rosie Leventon: Forensic Evidence

The ancient burial ship of Sutton Hoo in Suffolk was the inspiration for Rosie Leventon’s sculpture Forensic Evidence.

With Leventon’s characteristic fascination with processes of removal and with what lies beneath the surface of materials, the image of an improbable boat emerged from three-and-a-half tons of gouged and scratched out scaffolding boards.
