As part of the General Ecology project, and on the occasion of Pierre Huyghe’s exhibition, Serpentine Cinema presented a programme of artists’ films addressing machines, infrastructure and its impact on the biosphere and landscapes.
The evening included films by Sophia Al-Maria, Revital Cohen & Tuur Van Balen, Alexander George and James Capper, Pierre Huyghe, Amar Kanwar, New Mineral Collective (Emilija Škarnulytė and Tanya Busse), and Beatriz Santiago Muñoz.

Following the screening Lucia Pietroiusti, Curator, General Ecology was in conversation with writer and editor Filipa Ramos.
On Earth, Structure and Sadness was programmed in collaboration with Filipa Ramos, co-curator, The Shape of a Circle in the Mind of a Fish and advisor on the Serpentine’s General Ecology project, as well as the advice of artist Matthew Burdis.
