Summer Show 1 [1980]

Serpentine South Gallery 19 Jul — 10 Aug 1980 Free

Kick-starting another season of the Serpentine’s popular open-submission summer shows, Alan Miller was invited to select the first of this year’s three editions.

Miller was invited to select from the submissions to the first of the 1980 summer shows. Miller had himself shown a number of his paintings some 10 years before in another of the Serpentine Gallery’s summer shows.

The exhibition included some of Stephen Young’s new three-dimensional constructions, which had taken three years to complete.
