Summer Show 1 [1982]

Serpentine South Gallery 10 Jul — 8 Aug 1982 Free

John Lessore selected the first summer show of the 1982 season from an open submission.

All 12 of the artists chosen by Lessore for the first summer show of 1982 were figurative painters, whether interested in found images, nature, memory, imagination, or beyond.

Half of the painters exhibited lived and worked outside London.

Works from artists in this first summer show included David Roberts’ city views, Paul Gildea’s still lifes, and Jake Attree’s scenes of Finsbury Park.
