Summer Show 4 [1976]

Serpentine South Gallery 28 Aug — 19 Sep 1976 Free

This was the fourth of the summer shows selected for 1976.

The summer shows often consisted of a set of one-person shows (an artist per gallery) grouped under one roof. This exhibition, however, was a larger selection of artists interspersed within the galleries. Curated in this way, the choice of works from each artist may have been fewer in number, but it was hoped that the variety of work would appeal to the Serpentine’s audiences.

The exhibition was curated by Derek Boshier, Patrick Caulfield, and William Feaver.
