Artist and dancer Zinzi Minott led a series of movement based workshops with children and young people.
The sessions formed connections between Zinzi Minotts’ artistic practice and the Serpentine exhibition programme, including the exhibition Typhoon Coming On, by Sondra Perry.
Minott’s solo and collaborative pursuits focus on the relationships between dance and politics. She is interested in how dance is perceived through the prisms of race, queer culture, gender and class.
Workshops lasted 90 minutes and took place at the Serpentine Galleries, Kensington Gardens.
The workshops were free to state-funded schools in the Greater London area and for groups of up to 25 students age 5–16.
