The Serpentine’s Schools Artist in Residence 2019, poet and writer Belinda Zhawi, led a series of creative writing workshops with school groups.
Zhawi’s poetry reflects the dialogue between multiple cultures and places, as well as how art and education can be used as intersectional tools.
Zhawi and an invited guest led a series of creative writing workshops with school groups, exploring the themes of home, memory and cityscapes.
The workshops were free to state-funded schools in the Greater London area and for groups of up to 30 students, 8–15 years old (Years 4–10).
