Serpentine South Gallery 9 Jul 2018 Free

Artist and dancer Zinzi Minott led a series of movement based workshops with children and young people.

The artist-led sessions explored the connections between Zinzi Minott’s artistic practice and the Serpentine Pavilion 2018 designed by Frida Escobedo.

Minott’s solo and collaborative pursuits focus on the relationships between dance and politics. She is interested in how dance is perceived through the prisms of race, queer culture, gender and class.

Workshops lasted 90 minutes and took place at the Serpentine Galleries, Kensington Gardens from July 9 – 13.

The workshops were free to state-funded schools in the Greater London area and for groups of up to 16 students age 5-16.
