Responding to the materials, architecture and landscape of the Serpentine Galleries, families are invited stack, repeat and move their bodies to create sculptural forms. This workshop is programmed in parallel with the Serpentine summer season featuring Christo and Jeanne-Claude: Barrels and The Mastaba 1958–2018 and Tomma Abts.
Harold Offeh is the 2018-19 Serpentine Family Programme Artist in Residence and proposes to work with families to create Familial: Our Live Archive. Over the course of a year Offeh and invited artists will develop a series of workshops bringing together children and adults to explore media, technology, identity, architecture and public space. Working together and using performance participants will contribute to the formation of a live archive.
