Our galleries

Our free galleries are situated five minutes walk from eachother on either side of the Serpentine Bridge in the Royal Parkof Kensington Gardens.

Serpentine Gallery

The Serpentine Gallery showcases emerging and established contemporary art, including the annual Pavilion architecture commission in the park.

Throughout its 50-year history, the gallery has celebrated artists who have gone on to international acclaim, including: Anish Kapoor, Damien Hirst, Jeff Koons and Marina Abramović. Koenig Books, located at the Gallery entrance, is one of the UK’s best art bookshops.

Serpentine Sackler Gallery

The Serpentine Sackler Gallery opened in 2013, with Zaha Hadid’s renowned ‘Magazine’ extension on the original Grade II listed former gunpowder store.

This gallery is a beautiful space dedicated to contemporary art. It also includes the Chucs Café Serpentine, and the Serpentine Shop.

Serpentine Pavilion

The Serpentine’s annual architectural commission showcases new temporary buildings by international architects.

Open annually throughout the summer, the Pavilion hosts live programmes and events, including Park Nights.
