Family Weekend: Our Album

Artist Harold Offeh invited children and their families to work together to create imagined music album covers.

Drawing on the themes of identity, the family and digital representation in Sondra Perry: Typhon coming on, Offeh transformed the Education Space into a photo studio where families created group album covers, using text, props and poses.

Offeh was the 2018–19 Serpentine Family Programme Artist in Residence and proposed to work with families to create Familial: Our Live Archive. Over the course of a year, Offeh and invited artists developed a series of workshops that brought together children and adults to explore media, technology, identity, architecture and public space. Working together and using performance, participants contributed to the formation of a live archive.
