emajendat, Lauren Halsey’s first solo exhibition in the UK, transforms Serpentine South into an immersive ‘Funk garden’ that offers an extension of Kensington Gardens into the galleries. Halsey archives and remixes the changing signs and symbols of her environment, gathering physical material from her neighbourhood of South Central Los Angeles, where her family has lived for generations.
