Park Nights 2024
Park Nights is an annual series of performances in the Serpentine Pavilion, Serpentine’s architectural commission. In 2024, Archipelagic Void, designed by architect Minsuk Cho, becomes the centre stage for a series of interdisciplinary artistic expressions on selected evenings this summer.
Since 2002, Park Nights has presented performances across art, music, film, theatre, dance, literature, philosophy, fashion, and technology. Each year’s commissions respond to the unique architecture of the Pavilion, inviting audiences to experience the activated space. The programme has supported many artists in the early stages of their careers, as well as pioneering writers and thinkers from around the world.
The 2024 Park Nights season kicked off with a special performance from Eun-Me Ahn and Company on Friday, 28 June and Saturday, 29 June. The UK premiere of North Korea Dance explored the differences and similarities between North and South Korean dance and imagines a possible future beyond the border through shared movements.
On 19 July, Park Nights 2024 presented an evening of poetry with Don Mee Choi, Denise Riley and selected guests.
