BOOK NOW

On 16 May 2022, Serpentine Civic proudly hosts the book launch of Rory Pilgrim’s first catalogue, Tomorrow in Your Hands. The launch will take place with a special celebration of song and poetry with poet Carol R. Kallend and singer Robyn Haddon, who features as the main singer in RAFTS, Rory’s latest film, exhibited as part of Radio Ballads.

Sharing work produced since 2008, this lovingly made book produced with Modern Activity includes sketch books, scores, song lyrics, poetry and dialogues with Rory and their wider cosmos of collaborators. Exploring connections between activism, spirituality, music, and how we form community from both behind and beyond our screens, Tomorrow In Your Hands provides a constellation of the thoughts, words and reflections that carry with us into the future.

Alongside the book launch there will be a special Monday opening of the Radio Ballads exhibition from 5pm, where you can view RAFTS, and new commissions by artists Sonia Boyce, Helen Cammock and Ilona Sagar before the launch begins at 6pm.

Music and poetry from 6:30pm.
